Approach to Therapy
It is brave, yet sometimes scary, to start the journey of change. In order to change, we must stop the things we have gotten used to doing and start doing things that are unknown. Change can mean doing things that are uncomfortable, like being vulnerable and challenging yourself to discover all the parts of yourself you may not have fully embraced in your life. Change and working toward living your best life, does not mean being perfect. It means making mistakes, sometimes downright failing, and treating yourself with compassion while you heal and do better next time.

I am dedicated to creating a safe space for you and to act as your thought and compassion partner in the process of healing and embracing possibilities. My practice can often focus on holistic wellness. I encourage those I work with to think about all areas of wellness including: social, emotional, physical, career, financial, and community well-being.

I believe it is necessary to grieve and heal from harm done in the past, while having an open mind for the future. I will work with you to overcome the self-doubt or let go of unhealthy patterns in your life that no longer serve you. I strongly believe that in order to make sustainable changes, honesty should occur in therapy and work should be done outside of therapy. I work towards providing a unique therapeutic approach that blends talk therapy and encourage you to do activities and slowly step out of your comfort zone, read a book that might give you a deeper insight into what challenges you or find creative outlets to process your emotions.
